Look on your distro's install CDs for a package called ncurses-version number or something similar. It may vary depending on your distro. A tarball of version 5.2 can be found on freshmeat.

libraries, but does NOT find them...

Any ideas??

You can try "./configure --with?" but you'll have to read the docs that came with the tarball to determine what should be where the ? is, and try "./configure --help" as well.
