i've been using SuSE 8.2 for some time and i'm very pleased of its performance! of course i've had some problems during time but managed to solve them...
a new problem has arisen! yesterday i tried to play some *.kar files in KMid. it all seemed OK, no error messages, no nothing...it indicated that the midi file is playing. but no sound came out. of course i tried the obvious. the sound mixer though showed that no volume bar is on mute! i searched the net to find some information about my problem but find nothing specific! meanwhile tried to play some *.mid files but no sound again! can anybody help me solving this problem! will be much obliged!

What sound card do you have? What are your system specs? Check to see if you are using the right driver for your soundcard. Has midi worked in the past?
