memory usage

I have under debian
Code:
cat /proc/meminfo
Code:
MemTotal: 250748 kB
MemFree: 36356 kB

AnonPages: 8224 kB

Hugepagesize: 4096 kB
DirectMap4k: 16320 kB
DirectMap4M: 245760 kB
but
Code:
ps aux | sort -k 4
(sorting by %MEM field)
returns most memory usable
Code:
root 11149 0.0 1.0 8156 2756 ? Ss 15:59 0:00 sshd: root@notty
In all cases sum of percents not more than 15%. And it's not rather than usage at all (physycal + swap)
((250748-36356)+ (746980-727688) )/ (250748+746980)*100=23.42%

What's wrong in calculations?

It is entirely possible that not all of the available memory is in use at one time. Furthermore, much of the memory that is used is occupied by shared resources ... for instance, the glibc library that is used by just about everyone at once.
