Man in kernel 2.6.9

Hi,

I have just upgraded to kernel 2.6.9, exact info:
Linux garanka 2.6.9 #1 SMP Thu Oct 21 01:40:20 CEST 2004 i686 unknown unknown GNU/Linux

I am wondering if there is a problem in the 2.6.9-kernel with viewing man pages. I saw some other people have trouble with this and they all seem to have the 2.6.9-kernel.

Is this something in the kernel or did I just do something wrong? I know I could just patch my old 2.6.8.1-kernel but for some reason I downloaded the whole source of the 2.6.9-kernel and compiled it.

Anyone else having problem with man?

/MezzyMeat

In slackware, upgrading to 2.6.9 a broken udev rule breaks less and man.

Check the slackware forum for the fix, it was basically editing the udev.rules file under pseudo termianls and changing one like from tty to pty like it should be.

Err here is the post I was talking about.
