ls output reference -- RFCs

Hello

AFAIK there is no convenient and complete reference to GNU coreutils ls output; the man page is notoriously uninformative The most complete is Computer Networking Services (CNS) but that does not document the trailing . on the permissions list to indicate the presence of at least one ACL (thanks Valery Reznic) and a recent post on LQ pointed out an error in it (about directory "sizes"?) but I cannot now find that thread.

Please comment on the CNS page in this thread. I will collate the information and send it to CNS. In case CNS do not update the page, the material could be published elsewhere online (LQ WIKI, LDP, blog entry ... ?) and/or sent to the GNU coreutils project for possible inclusion in the man page.

Best

Thanks Sayan.
It is as an example of something that I could not find in any documentation that I scanned recently.
