I configured the sensors, now they're working great, but I haven't got network and sound !!!! My sound card is realtek ac97 and the ethernet card is Intel 3Com. I didn't do anything different from typing sensors-detect and then editing /etc/modules.conf and /etc/rc.d/rc.modules as shown in the examples ! Have you got any suggestions how could I repair it ?? Please help
As you describe it I'd say something went wrong when you edited those configuration files. Maybe you used incompatible editor or made a typo. Sound like modules for eth and sound are not loaded any more. You can check what modules are loaded with lsmod and load them with modprobe. However, first check whether the configuratsion files you edited are OK, restore from backup if needed (almost every editor makes automatic backups).

You were right, my network config files were changed, I had never suggested it. Thanks!!
