Linux Mint Problems Cinnamon

I have installed Linux mint via the "Install inside windows" option. And then I used the install app in side linux mint to finish. The problem is though when I long in I get a black screen then a termial style error message which is of the sort "Can not change frquency 4******" (The *'s being other numbers) After the error it goes back to the login menu and if I try again the same thing happens. Anyone know what the problem is? (Besides using the "install inside windows option, for all the "smart" people out there.)

First guess is that it doesn't like your video card. Can you boot Mint in Live CD mode?

Also, what kind of video card do you have (In Windows, Control Panel-->System--->Device Manager, at least that's what it used to be)?

Since it's the "install inside of Windows" version, there's really no harm done--you can remove it from Control Panel-->Remove Programs (or whatever they are calling it this week) and try again, but I'd suggest researching the video card first.
