Hiii, I have completed RHCE before 1 month, what certification should i do after RHCE to enter in security field related to linux OS and when? currently i m studyng CCNA also, so after tht should i go with RHCSS or CEH or CCNA Security
For being in the security, you could go for RHCSS. But the best way to job is experience. Take a job, start working and keep studying while at job. Nothing will teach you better than experience.
thanks chaitnya for reply, i am currently working as L1 sys admin(tech support), RHCSS is already in my mind but i think it requires some job experience to appear, wt abt other certification lyk CEH or CCNA security, should i also get train in that also with RHCE?? will it be beneficial to me on my career side.., reply soon.what is the best certifications after RHCE should i get to get into security side wid some strong knowledge.
If I were you, I would get some more experience and then go for RHCSS if your pocket permits. Mine does not. And once you have experience, you might in your later stage even overrule the decision of taking certifications. Those are not really true to your knowledge always. I do not even have RHCE and have not felt the need to take one now. There are lot of gurus here who would second my thought of not taking certification as the route to success. Experience and time will teach you what no certification in the industry will ever be able to.
I plan to go for my RHCE and CCNA as well. Regardless of experience, having certs looks good on the resume, which could mean the difference between an interview and being overlooked.
