Any ideas why lastlog will not be updating. I have checked that the files exists, parmissions are correct, wtmp is updating and pam looks ok. Any ideas?

What does this say:

grep -rin "lastlog" /etc/*

Thank you very much. The issue had been corrected. We used use virtuozzo and it had to be patched to correct the problem.
