In what sense? There's a ton of web-based stuff that would work fine providing you have the various multimedia plugins for Flash, RealPlayer/MPlayer, etc. What kind of level are you looking at and what kind of activities are you expecting from it? I've seen a few basic reading ones included under educational packages for various distros and a couple that have some basic listening exercises, but nothing too impressive.

I am a complete beginner. I mean something like "learn to speak spanish" on Windows. This is what I meant. I cannot find anything when googling, all the results are for windows.

Not come across anything that in-depth for tuition from scratch. Once you've got yourself going, something like http://edu.kde.org/kverbos/ might be useful though, that's the only kind of thing I've seen, or flashcard apps where you see picture and provide the word.

As previously suggested, a web-based learning packages may well be your best bet, of which a ton come back through Googgle, some probably better than others. For example, the BBC Languages courses are usually pretty good - http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/spanish/

Best of luck

Hehe, no problem, though I'm not quite sure about how much Spanish you'll be using up in Canada ;-) Was in Winnipeg for New Year's eve and there wasn't much of a Latin quarter!
