I get a TWM session with VNC instead of Gnome

I start vncserver no problem on my SuSE 9.2 machine running Gnome desktop but when I access it from another machine on the network it brings up a TWM windows session, not Gnome! Strange.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks
