Question How to upgrade latest packages under RedHat?

I am using RedHat 9 and just install apt4rpm, I want to upgrade some packages.

uname -rv
2.4.20-8 #1 Thu Mar 13 17:54:28 EST 2003

The default source list has mirrors from http://ayo.freshrpms.net
# Red Hat Linux 9
rpm http://ayo.freshrpms.net redhat/9/i386 os updates freshrpms
#rpm-src http://ayo.freshrpms.net redhat/9/i386 os updates freshrpms

But the packages there are NOT the latest for RedHat. For example, I want to upgrade mozilla to 1.8. The one in the mirror is 1.4

Thank you for help Linux NEWBIE

I believe you can use yum for this in Redhat 9. See if it is included on the Redhat disks, and install it. Then, open a new terminal and type

yum -update

This should go off to the Redhat mirrors and download the latest software. If you want to upgrade the whole operating system to Fedora Core 1 and Fedora Core 2, see http://www.brandonhutchinson.com/Upg..._with_yum.html and scroll down to "Upgrading to Fedora Core 1".
