how to resume a process via any terminal in linux


please help me in resuming the any running process like (yes a,vim a,copying data etc) via any terminal .please dont give me kill fg,bg at some instances kill -STOP pid,kill -CONT pid .

It's not possible to do that, but you might want to look at fg and bg.

just joking. Check out "screen", which may well be what you're after.

No one can help you untill your question is crystal clear..

How can u resume a process which is already running?
U can resume some process which is paused or is somewhere in background !!

I really want to help you, but please describe your question as much as you can !

Don't modify your previous post, Add a new post in this thread so every one else can see it !!

EDIT
Do you mean that the processes are running in the background and you want some command other than 'fg' to make them run in foreground ?
