How to lock Vritual Console ??

Hello Friends,

I had install RHL 8.0 with out X windows system and my defaults run level is "3".
now i logining as root on Virtual console F1 and i want to Lock it,
even for rest od (f2 to f6)

how can I lock it.?and also unlock it.?

What exactly do you mean by locking? If you are logged in to the terminal it is yours. Not quite sure what you want to achieve by 'locking' here.

Thanks nxny,

Exactly what we do in kde.like "Lock Screen",(before Logout option)
and it asking for enter a root passwd.

i want to do the same thing in terminal, is it work in terminal.?or any other options.?

just use logout

it's not a good idea to leave a machine logged in anyway
