question
1. how many process run on each CPU
2. i have only 2 pysical cpu why i /proc/cpuinfo show 0-3 CPU
that mean i have 4 CPU ?
my server HP DL140

if you run top , it will show all the processes and have a number at the end. That shows which process is on CPU0 and which is on CPU1.
My guess is the kernel was compiled with SMP and the number specified was 4. Just a guess though.

You have HT enabled in your cpus. You have 2 physical threads and 4 logical threads.
It is OK that your Kernel is compiled for SMP regardless if you want HT.
