How do I make a boot disk?

Hi,

I have a dual boot Windows 95 / Red Hat 8 system, on which the Windows half has decided to self destruct.. Re-installing Windows is well within my capabilities, but I understand that doing it will overwrite the MBR.

How do I create a boot floppy from within Red Hat, so I can get back into Linux afterwards?

Am i right to assume that running LILO after all this will re-install my current boot menu?

In slackware, I used "mkrescue" or "makerescue" (dont remember which one) command to make a bootdisk.
In ubuntu, there is a command called "mkboot".
You can run the command "apropos boot" to see all programs/config files related to "boot"
