Question How do I make a boot disk?

How do I make a boot disk for RH9 using lilo?

Currently I cannot access my Windows partitions for some reason. If I restore them in MBR, I will need a boot disk to again access linux, ...correct?

Also, what exactly will the linux boot disk allow me to do?

To create a boot floppy disk the command is
mkbootdisk <kernel_version>

The kernel version can be found using the command
uname -s

This disk will boot RH.

glen69; sorry misunderstood ? thought it was from dual os you were attempting to produce boot disk. how ever before doing anything read all the information about what attempting and not make mistake, it can be
disastrous. ? when first installed RH did you make a backup disk if so that
is all you need. unless you would want an extra do so.
