Posting to remove from zero reply list.

File and directories that begin with a . are hidden and not normally visible to the user. Depending on what file browser you are running there should be a way to view hidden files. Check the menus for an option to view hidden files.

And please do not delete the thread content. It makes the forum a bit of a mess.

That should have been a rule. Right to edit, yes. Delete, no.

Their post referenced an attachment on different non-LQ forums - I'm guessing that's because they cross-posted to both/multiple forums, and once they got a response elsewhere they decided to erase their post rather than provide the answer.

Cross-posting like that is rude.

If one doesn't receive an answer in some forum and wants to ask elsewhere, be upfront about it by posting links to the other place, and when a working solution is found provide it to both forums.

I deleted the original post after I found a simple solution.
I deleted the original post before anyone replied to it.

My simple solution is:
Right-click on the "root" folder and select "Open as administrator".

A member on Lutris Forums suggested running Lutris without "root" privileges so as to avoid the problem.

I started a thread on Lutris Forums last week.
I started a thread here last night because I ran into a related problem which seemed specific not to Lutris but to commands/File Manager, to which the members here might be more familiar.
