GTK2 in KDE, font problem

Hi,

I've been some time looking for a solution for this but without success. The problem is that when I run GTK2 apps while in KDE the fonts dont appear antialiased, while when running the same app in GNOME the fonts looks great (GDK_USE_XFT=1). I'm using KDE3.1 and the font-antialiasing is ON, so all KDE apps works fine too.

How can i fix it? What file/s do I need to edit?

Thx.

i don't know if it's going to help but i always had mt gtk2 looking utterly dreadful until i found out that i didn't have the gnome-settings-daemon loaded in the background. when i ran that the gtk2 apps found it and looked a lot lot lot better. if you've already got it running though i have no idea.

1º thx for your answer.

2º i executed gnome-setting-daemon and this is what happened. my KDE wallpaper changed to the GNOME one but the Kmenu was still there and functional. GTK2 apps displayed very good but there must be another way to get this working without this problems.

im googling without any result by now.

any more ideas?

I finally solved the problem... I upgraded from GNOME2.0 to GNOME2.2 and now every looks very nice So it seems that the problem was with a bad gnome installation.

Bye
