KDE Font Problem

I just installed Mandrake 10 with KDE 3.2. When I load it up everything seems great. However the fonts in many applications are way to small(including Konsole, gaim)... Changing the font settings under KDE->Look And Feel->Fonts does nothing to those sizes. Howeber I read on the forum to try gnome-font-properties. When I do this it fixes the font sizes of the programs in question but screws up Konquerer. The fonts are huge, overlapping and unreadable. I can set the font size for pages down in Konquerer but that does nothing. Any ideas?

Thanks
-paco.
