gnome errors on login

WHen I try to login as gnome I get tons and tons of errors. Sasying files are not avail, etc

Then once it is logged in when I click on a program, it says the program isnt there

If I login as a differnt user it works fine.

Is there a way to just rebuild the users gnome files or how else may I be able to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

To start again from scratch log in as root and rename your old home folder to move it out of the way. Then make a new folder with the right name and chown it so that your username owns the file and it s part of the group users. Then log out of root and login as yourself and gnome should create a new setup with the default values. If that doesn't work do it again but this time before you log out of root drop down to init 3. Login as root at the command prompt, delete everything in /tmp and then reboot.
