ftp timeout - VERY FRUSTRATING!

I am so disturbed by this annoying problem. I've tried to fix this but to no avail.

I've tried CoreFTP and FileZilla.
I'm on Cable Modem - Optimum Online (extremely fast)

I've tested my own net connection and its perfectly fine.

Both software had keep alive on, 15 and 30 seconds.

I've tried both ProFTP and PureFTP and both disconnect me.

I'm on cPanel 10.0.C48 with Fedora OS.

I checked cPanel forums and they said to increase timeout in the ftp config file. I couldnt' find any such file. Please help!

I'm quite distrubed by people who don't read man
pages before they post questions ...

man proftpd
/config
press n a few times ...

Tink

Is there any reason for naive sarcasm?

I don't think it's naive. And it clearly comes from
frustration about lazy people who come here
expecting site members to be a meta-search
engine for man-pages or google... and this not
the first post in which you're displaying that
approach, either.

I'm more than happy to support people with actual
technical problems, but something like "I can't find
the config file" means that you haven't even bothered
reading the man-page.

Cheers,
Tink

And by calling another member and even a moderator a name gets your threads closed immediately.

Any more warnings and you can lose all privileges to this site.

If you don't like our rules you agreed to when registering, you can seek help elsewhere. If you do persist with such an attitude, you'll have to take it up with the admin and owner of this site to get reinstated, who by the way created such rules.
