How do I write a file to floppy from rh8 ext3 os to fat dos floppy from 2k? I want to read the text file when it gets to w2k from linux.

You should just be able to mount the floppy under Linux and copy the file onto it, then unmount it again. What have you tried so far and what bit did you get stuck on?
If you mean that the text file looks odd then it is to do with the difference between dos and unix newline characters. Try using NoteTab Lite in windows: http://www.notetab.com
or use the dos2unix and unix2dos commands on linux.
