My suse system won't mount fat floppy

My suse can't mount a floppy formatted with fat. It gives me:

Could not mount device.
The reported error was:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/fd0,
or too many mounted file systems

What can I do?
Thanks!

Ok, big, here it is:

/dev/fd0 /media/floppy auto noauto,user,sync 0 0

I didn't edit this line, it's just the way yast2 created it. More info goes like this: My /usr dir was running out of space, so YOU gave me an error while trying to update kernel_sources package. I think the problem has to do with it. For one or two sessions, suse ran with kernel 2.4.21.199 but without the corresponding sources. Is it possible?

The output of the lsmod command lists vfat and fat modules. I guess this is correct, right?

Thanks !!!
