Expected EXT4 overhead vs NTFS or other filesystems

I have just purchased a 2TB drive for my server and I was trying to get an idea of the differences between these file systems or other file systems out there.

What is the amount of space after formatting for ext4, ext3, and ntfs?

Thanks.

What do you mean? Amount of free space should be the same, this is 2TB in your case.

I mean how much space does ext4 take up vs ntfs for 2TB for the file system itself?

Shouldn't be a lot of difference - just make sure you set the reserved amount to zero. (-m 0 on the mkfs).
No sense reserving truckloads of space on a data filesystem.

Look at 'Linux File System' to find referenced links that will help you to understand things a little better.
