Evolution and SMTP

I'm using FC2 and evolution wont send mail
I've tried turning off my firewall & mail wont go through with both hotsmtp and smtp.phreaker.net
pop works
It times out trying to get through and hotsmtp sends root a message saying the message wont go through
help is much appreciated

Most of the time you need to have authentication turned on if your either not on that mail servers network or your ISP is not allowing it. Easiest solution is to just use your ISP's outgoing mail server to send email.

Cox blocks port 80 but all the others are suposed to be open
I tried out the cox smtp server and it worked.
