Easy question on a command


Here is a easy one for all ya linux people out there, I don't know how I haven't ran across this yet but how do you at the prompt move, delete and copy a directory and all subdirectorys? Thanks

use the '-r- option with cp command.
mv command will work without any options.

Just be aware that "-r" follows symbolic links and "-R" does not.

rm -rf directory name.

rmdir to remove any empty directory. much like dos

note: to rename multiple files try using rename
