I'm going to try explaining my problem.

I have just recovered some files from my old windoze machine, mostly mp3s.
Trouble is, when I try to access the subdirs they don't show as dirs, but as files, and what worse is, they literally disapear from view when I click them! They reapear when I access the motherdir again, and the same thing repeats. I can't get to the files using a gui, and that's just frustrating, I can't even se them, just those stupid I-disapear-when-you-click-me files...

Did anyone understand what I just wrote? Plz plz plz plz help me, that's 50 gigs of mp3s I don't want to lose

I think you haven't got permission to access the directories. You can open a console, logging as root then try to copy the directories with cp command
