/dev/hda1 does not exist

Now that I know more about linux than I did a month ago, I reinstalled linux today. I worked out a few kinks (such as lilo automatically loading linux with no prompt, runlevel probs), but when I went to set up a desktop icon to mount my windows partition, I couldn't. /dev/hda1 doesn't exist. df at a console doesn't list it...I can't figure out how to get linux to see it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance yet again...

hello,
assuming you MS windows drive is fat32 the an entry in the file /etc/fstab should do it

Code:
/dev/hda1 /c vfat defaults 0 0
then make sure directory /c exists and type mount /c - thats it
