Debian = 7 CD?

Hello I'm new to Debian. Debian 3.0 has 7 CD right?
Do we have to have them all to install it?
How about if I just download the CD 1? is that enough?
where can I find information [links if available) on contents
on each CD?

thanks
Ronald

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
