Custom kernel doesn't boot on RHEL AS 4

Hi,

I got a bit of a hassle getting a kernel to run on my system (RHEL AS 4, Athlon 64 X2 3800+, Nforce5, 20GB IDE hdd, 4096mb RAM, Nvidia Quadro 1700).
All it does is outputting a lot of stuff really fast...mostly hardware detection(I attached some pictures).
Now my question is what could this problem be related to or how can I get you more information? There is nothing logged in boot.log .

Thanks in advance
visualp

From the looks of that it seems like its something wrong with your hard drive, You have a custom kernel so I dont know what you have set and what you dont so its hard to support you. However, dose this boot on a non custom kernel, like a live cd? Also What happens at the end, is there no screen, or is the first screenshot the last thing that happens. The kernel prints allot out during debugging and it can be useful, can you get to the machine with ssh ?

First of, thanks a lot for your help!

It boots with the standard kernel. I have to admit that I didn't create the kernel I just have to get it working as software I am using heavily depends on it.
This is the last screen, then it freezes.

As it boots with standard kernel I can probably configure it if it's not already set up...Is it possible to connect via ssh even when the kernel didn't fully boot up?

Thanks in advance
