Question telnet connection lost

Hi,

I've installed Red Hat 7.2 (server) on 2 servers. Both of them terminates connections made to them as soon as there's no activity, eg when using telnet or conneting to a database on the linux server from a windows 98 / 2000 pc. If relevant, the database I'm using is Interbase.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Try adding "idle 6000" in your /etc/ppp/options file. That should set it up for an idle time of 100 minutes.
