caps lock key


Hi guys and girls, now I have a question. Is there a way to disable caps lock key on my keyboard?

remap it with xmodmap
create a file .xmodmap
then xmodmap like this

xmodmap $HOME/.xmodmap

/home/user/.xmodmap
remove Lock = Caps_Lock



you can run it from your .bashrc or .xsession

Thank you David, I knew it was something simple, and xmodmap just slipped my mind.

I assume that you could map the M$ keys with this also??

Is it possible to map those keys to launch a prog from Gnome?

yep

they are

the left winkey is keycode 115
the right is keycode 116
and the menu key is keycode 117
