Angry Cant Access Linux

Ok so here it is:

1) I installed windows on my comp,
2) Then installed linux on my comp,
3) Linux has its own boot loader,
4) I got a virus on windows
5) I formatted the windows partition
6) Without thinking, i installed windows straight off
7) Windows (98) overwrited the linux boot loader
8) To install a new boot loader which allows me to access linux, i need to get to linux to change some settings
9) At the moment, i cant access linux's settings, i cant change the size of the partition (which is a 40GB drive split 20/20) and i can only format the windows side of the hard drive

Anyone?

if you didn't make a boot disk (usually a mistake to skip that step ) my rec. would be to get some sort of other bootable linux -- knoppix or slackware live CD, tom's root boot, etc. (google.com/linux) -- then fix your lilo or grub bootloader (which one are you using again? ) once you have access to your linux disk. then make a lilo/grub boot diskette so in case something happens again, you will have your bootloader on a floppy and can just boot easily from that.
