Remote access: from Linux to Linux....

I just spent the other day converting my Windows 2000 Server box over to RH Linux (this means now that 2 out of my 3 computers run Linux) and I was wondering if there was a program I could use to login remotely from my Fedora Linux computer to my new RH computer.

SSH will do what you want and you can forward X applications over it if you get it set up right. If you need more full graphical support, I've heard of people having success with VNC, but SSH has always just worked for me (and I do about everything on the command line anyway).

Cool, thanks. I am able to do it through terminal which is probably all I'd need it for. My other Linux computer runs in text and I wanna leave it that way so I don't care about ones with a GUI. I know I use Putty for Windows, just wondering about the alternatives for Linux. I have VNC Viewer on this Linux box and VNC server running on the other so I guess I could've used it too...but like I said, I only wanted text mode.

In that case, SSH is all you'll need. PuTTY is simply an SSH client for Windows. Every modern Linux distro should install openssh unless you tell it not to, so on the command line you can just do:

ssh <user>@<remote host>

and you'll be set.
