Cannot receive mail from outside world

Hi -
I installed qpopper and after a horrific 2 weeks battling the darn thing, I got it to work fine. Only problem is the only emails I am receiving are those sent to myself from the server. I cannot seem to receive emails sent from the outside world. On top of that none of them are bouncing if sent via my other accounts. (well at least not within the last few hours anyways). Anyone know what the deal might be here?

thanks
Ali

I fixed that particular problem actually. Turned out it was sendmail that was preventing it from accepting emails from outside localhost. I commented out the line that was responsible. Now I have a new problem - it wont let me send emails through SMPT/Sendmail if I am using a third part computer. Apparently it wont relay email unless I set it up for specific IPs or something... know how to set up sendmail to allow me to authenticate a user using SSL or something so that I dont have to define what IPs my remote users will be on? I am attempting to provide email access for my family who are each on different dialups and rotating IPs thus trying to define that seems like too much of a problem.

Thanks
Ali
