Can't mount CD drive

I am unable to mount my CD drive after I made changes to /etc/fstab in regards to my Windows partition. I set it to auto mount, and to allow any user to mount it:

/dev/hda1 /mnt/windows vfat user,auto,umask=000 0 0

Now, when I try to mount the CD drive, I get the error message:

mount /cdrom
Mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom, or too many mounted filesystems

The /etc/fstab entry for my CD drive is:

/dev/cdrom /cdrom iso9660 defaults,ro,user,noexec,noauto 0 0

Any help?

Is it a music cd? You don't mount those, only iso9660 filesystems or what you would call a data cds can be mounted.

Looks good to me ... well, I find defaults with
all the other options a bit odd :) ...
Have you got an empty line after the last entry?

Cheers,
Tink

Is the cd already mounted? Try the "df" command or "cat /proc/mounts".

BTW, In case you get more users you could create a vfat group and set the gid instead of the umask
