backup error


When i use tar to backup a directory , then it pop up
"Removing leading `/' from member names" ,
what is the reason , how to fix ? thx.

Well it can be a handy feature since it allows you to extract the archive to a different location if it doesn't include the leading slash. But you can disable it with either -P or --absolute-paths
All this information is really in the man pages. They aren't that hard to read and it might help you sooner if you try at least reading the man pages first. If not then you can always still post.
