back up evolution mail client setting

Hey,

I have evolution 1.4.5 and a lot of setting inside. I want to change distro so I will reinstall my machine. With the new distro, I will use evolution 1.4.6. How do I use the previous setting on my new distro?

I will compile evolution from sources. Should I back up the evolution directory in my old distro and unpack in the new distro?

Just backup and restore

/home/user/.evolution

A word of warning, if you jump to 1.5/1.6, some settings will be lost. A lot of changes have been made to that client so it will not come over cleanly. Just test it and if it doesn't work then install 1.4 with the backed up data.

There is no /home/user/.evolution.
There is only /home/user/evolution. I remember I have issue back up this way. Anyway thanks.
