automatically create mailboxes from passwd file


hi guys,

is there any way for Linux (RHEL4) to make the appropriate mailbox files under /var/mail/ from each user in the passwd file?

Why would you want to manually create such things? If you have an MTA running and use system login accounts for email accounts, the users mbox will automatically get created when an email is sent to them, which is basically just their name in most cases.

/var/mail/user.name
