WoW using Cedega (retail) with opengl 2.0 vs running on Winows (directx 9.0c)

WoW using Cedega (retail) with opengl 2.0 vs running WoW on Windows (dirctx 9.0c)- has anyone tried WoW on both OS's? If so, is there a noticable difference? Does the frame rate lag? Can you do 2048x1536 with out any issues? I want to move to linux but i'm happy with how it runs on Windows. If it runs just as well on both, I consider change. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I tried this combination on my small pc (celeron 2.4ghz 512mb ram,128mb nvidia geforce fx5500). The lag was great and the difference was noticeable, actually no, I couldn't play it at all on linux. But if you have a powerful machine you ( I cannot try it on my primary pc 'cause I have an unsupported combination of ati-xorg-64bit issue) could say that from feedback of other users I read in forums it plays well except some minor crashes that can be fixed if you follow what cedega is suggesting. Sorry I don't know if it supports this resolution you are asking.

In a summary, yes there is a difference at performance of the game.

Cheers,

Vangelis
