Wolfenstine 30

What next?
Using a gui for apt. I run mint and debian derived ubuntu clone.
This has got me the Wolfenstine 3d
But no game data.
The solution is the ccommand gamedatapackager.
This gets wolf1.zip creates a .Deb file in home.
Still no game data.

This game isn't free. You need to get the data files from the CD or another installation of the game.

Yeah the level 1 data and programs were shareware of sorts. Previously I installed the Wolfenstine programs, then ran gamedatapackager to install the free of charge data.
I do have the game, but don't know where to put the level data.

Just solved this by running strings over the wolf4sdl executable.

Put game data in /usr/share/games/wolf3d

All file names need to be in lower case.

If the issue was case sensitivity, then another option would have been to mount the game directory using ciopfs.
