Stupid steam content system on debian

It wont bloody update. I have tried different versions of steam but they all do the same thing. They just sit there and not update themselves why? I have tried it with wine, cedega, crossover office.

Ignore that. it decided to back it in. GRRRR STUPID STUPID

Carefull about calling developers "stupid" like that ... if you are so sure it is "stupid" you should go to the developers with "intellegent" code.

If you cannot produce the code, don't assume it is stupid.

What you are looking at is the usual issues interfacing open-source with proprietary. There are always issues, and stuff what cannot be done. It is entirely possible that the functionality you expect is just not possible for reasons to do with copywrite restrictions and a close-source=closed-mind mentality.

Sure, one would expect that designers would want their games to run on as many systems as possible - however, some designers disagree.

The best course of action is to register your compliant with all the relevant people and encourage others to do the same. Generally something will be done.

Ok sorry but to be honest some just bring it on themselves. Like microsoft for example with access u have to click on a button to clear tempory files. If theres a button for it then u can automate it !!!
