Quake 2 modding communities

I've noticed that unlike with DOOM (which has sites like Doomworld and The Doom Wiki) and Quake (which has sites like QuakeOne), the Quake 2 modding community seems to have died almost a decade ago.

Where can I find reviews and downloads of recently released single-player Quake 2 levels?

Furthermore, what are the names of the most popular community-made single-player Quake 2 levels (so that I can google them)? Example for DOOM would include Hell Revealed, Memento Mori, Alien Vendetta, etc. Examples for Quake would include Starship, Beyond Belief, Nehara, Zerstorer, etc. What are Quake 2's equivalents?

Okay, I did find q2scene.net, but that's pretty much it. My google searches also turned up links like the following:

Where do you normally get the levels from? I honestly thought of this also a few months back after playing for about six hours straight....

And I'm loving that second link you posted

But it hasn't been updated since 1999 and its download links are all broken.
