Making joystick work with games

I got a Logitech F310 Gamepad today and I was wondering how to make games recognize and utilize it. I calibrated it using jscal and tested it using jstest. It seems to be working. Now I need it to work with games and such, but I have no idea how to do this. For example, I want to play Quake 2 with it, but when I set it to use a joystick, nothing happens when I do use the joystick.

**edit**
I got my joystick enabled in Quake Wars, but it's all screwed up. I read somewhere that usually, joystick calibration is not needed. If that's true, how do I uncalibrate it? Or, how do I clear all the calibration I have done to the joystick?

Thanks

Alex

I'm returning the gamepad as Its too much of a hassle to configure it.

Sorry to hear that. I recommend replacing it with a Wii Classic Controller Pro and a Mayflash USB adapter (these adapters are common on ebay). Not only does this combination work perfectly out of the box (with no calibration needed), it's also one of the best controllers you can buy.

Two things. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check the Wii controller out. Second, I decided to keep the gamepad since I can use it to play UFO: Alien Invasion, a game I discovered just yesterday. All I have to do is figure the game itself out...

Thanks

Alex
