How to get mic working in CS 1.6 under Cedega

I was wondering if I could get a step by step guide to get my mic working in CS 1.6.

I am quickly learning linux such as how to get dvd's working, getting 3d enabled, alsa blah blah.

Now im down to the nitty gritty and was wondering if any of you could help,

I am using suse 9.3 and the latest version of Cedega which i think is like 4.4.1 or something similar to that.

I have tried enabling the 2 oss boxes mmap and duplex but it crashes cs when i try to load it up, like it loads to the screen but the menu options dont appear.

thanks for any and all help,

CoachZ

Have you tried running CS with ALSA enabled instead of OSS(in Point2play config)?

Ok i tried running alsa with both the options enabled. It would lock up while almost connected to the server.

I i just enabled duplex then the map will load and i can see the voice icon when i press the button but the sounds are basically inaudible, like i can only hear a blip of noise when i fire a gun and cant really hear anything else.

i heard something about dmix but dont really know anything about it.

thanks for the continued help,
