sorry to burst all your bubbles, but it has been confirmed FALSE as to the issue of the source code being leaked...
but just to tell any interested, the Half-Life 2 *ALPHA* release has been leaked and it was released today by a group called ANON..and no i am not posting any hints on how/where to get it, i am just letting yous' know ;-)
it is 100megs x 15 files (rar files) and it is called ""Half-Life 2 - "Chosen 9" release""
and all i gotta say is, this game must be insane because check out these recommendations...
Minimum system requirements:
| + Windows98/2000/Me/XP
| + 700 MHz CPU
| + 128 MB RAM
| + DX6 compatible video card
| + ~3 GB free hdd space
|
| Recommended system requirements:
| + Windows98/2000/Me/XP
| + 2 GHz CPU
| + 256 MB RAM
| + DX9 compatible video card
| + ~4 GB free hdd space
Hmm, companies tend to stay way form linux ports for small commnuity AND they are easier to pirate. The game has already had soruce leaked and alpha leak(if true). The game has no shader code, but apparently most other, A game known for its DX 9 use. Chances of linux port are smaller and smaller.

garbage - did i say garbage? i meant winex doesnt even work on my system so its linux native for me. but i still cant wait till UT2004. were gonna get mentioned on the box!
I got the source code and I also got there beta, even though valve says there is not a beta there is and it is real. I know its real because it has the levels that were in little video that i watched a few months ago. And no hackers could have made any of those levels with the insane graphics. It sucks that there is not going to be a native linux client, but I can handle installing windows just to play it. So when/if it goes gold I will go buy it. On another note I've bought the first half life and cs yet I've never bought Windows XP(even though I used for couple of years till switching to linux) haha.
The source code is not confirmed false.. Valve already said numerous time that they have looked at the code and decided it's the real thing. Over and over and over. Check with Valve before you alledge it's not real.
