Enemy Territory freezes

I'm running Fedora Core 1 with all updates installed on an AMD Athlon XP2400, with 512mb ram and an ATI Rage 128 Pro video card.
Enemy Territory starts fine, but whenever I join a game and go to the "Player Setup" menu (where you can choose your side, weapons, etc), my computer completely freezes. This happens both when I press "L" to go to the menu ingame, or when the menu comes up after joining a game. I've tried disabling Punk Buster and updating Enemy Territory, but the problem still continues.
Any ideas?

I fixed it, upgraded the grapics card to a GeForce 4 and now it works fine. Must have been a problem with the ATI card.
