call of duty


if any of u know were can i dl the demo...... for linux. (suse 8.2) and tell me if there is no linux version and i need wine do i need directx???? and if so a link to dl and instruccions for install.....

AFAIK, there is no linux playable version. Only server exists. You need to use either wine or winex to play.

no, there is no directx for linux, directx is a all windows thingy

to play windows games on linux, you need winex, as zipled already said. winex is a directx inplementation for linux. it isn't perfect, so it isn't guaranteed that your game will work.

call of duty won't work. requires directx 9. I tried using wine and winex 3.1. it didn't work

you could always try regular wine, but thats not exactly designed for games. still, transgaming's winex doesnt work for me, so i like wine
