Question Warning: unable to open an initial console.


i've installed lfs. when i'm booting i'm getting the following error message:

VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly.
Freeing unused kernel memory: 104k
Warning: unable to open an initial console.

has somebody an idea ?

just a guess here.....

What does your /etc/inittab look like?
Did you enable all the necessary options for a console in the kernel?
